Red Sails – Episode 12

In the nineteenth-century South China Sea, smuggler Captain Thomas Mercer is captured by pirate warlord Wei after claiming his opium cargo sank with his ship. Bound to a magistrate’s chair and pressed to reveal the truth, Thomas holds his nerve while his battered crew risks everything to rescue him. But the cargo is still intact, and a marked chart points toward a hidden anchorage behind the last island—where armed enemies and a dangerous reckoning await.

Episode 12: After Ned defends selling out the crew for silver, Thomas faces a brutal choice: burn or swim. He refuses to back down and dares Peter to shoot, leaving the standoff at the brink.
