Privacy Policy
Last Updated: August 16, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Vuvie collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Vuvie mobile app, our websites, and services that link to this policy (together, "Vuvie").
Vuvie is a curated short-drama service. It does not provide a public consumer upload feed, public comments, public profiles, chat, or direct messaging. This policy does not change any rights you may have under applicable law.
1. What Information We Collect
Account and support information. When you create or use an account, we process information supplied through the sign-in method, such as an account identifier, display name, and email address when available. If you contact support, we process the information you choose to provide, including your message, email address, device or app details, and optional screenshots or other images that you attach to a private support request.
App, device, and usage information. We process a Vuvie device identifier, app and operating-system version, language and settings, IP-derived general location, diagnostic information, search queries, viewing and playback activity, watch history and progress, saved or followed titles, ratings, likes, sharing activity, rewards activity, and recommendation interactions. We use this information to operate the service, remember your choices, improve it, and, when enabled, personalize recommendations.
Advertising information. When optional rewarded advertising is available, Google Mobile Ads/AdMob and its related services may process advertising identifiers, IP address and general location inferred from IP, device and operating-system information, diagnostics, ad impressions, ad interactions, and ad-measurement information. On iOS, access to the advertising identifier for tracking is subject to your App Tracking Transparency choice. If permission is not granted, Vuvie requests non-personalized ads for its rewarded-ad flow.
Payments and entitlements. If you purchase through an app store, the applicable store processes the payment. Vuvie receives and processes pseudonymous purchase identifiers, transaction and subscription records, and entitlement status needed to provide, verify, restore, secure, or support the feature. Guests can purchase without a Vuvie account. We do not receive your full payment-card number from Apple or Google for app-store transactions.
Optional permissions. Vuvie asks for notification permission when you choose an applicable notification feature; calendar permission when you ask Vuvie to add a release reminder; and photo-library access when you choose to attach an existing image to a support request. Camera and microphone access are not requested for these features. You can decline or later change these permissions through your device settings; core browsing and playback do not require them.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to provide the service; authenticate accounts; maintain your library, viewing progress, settings, rewards, and entitlements; provide customer support; personalize recommendations when that setting is enabled; measure and improve app performance and content discovery; detect fraud, abuse, and technical problems; and comply with legal obligations.
We also use information to provide and measure optional rewarded advertising, including enforcing reward and frequency rules. Where permitted and enabled, advertising data may be used by our advertising partners for ad delivery or measurement as described in their own notices.
3. Service Providers and Sharing
We use service providers to help operate Vuvie. These include hosting, database, storage, delivery, and security providers; Cloudflare for the infrastructure that stores and processes our product-analytics data; Sentry for error reporting and performance diagnostics; Google Mobile Ads/AdMob for optional rewarded advertising and related measurement; Expo services for push-notification delivery; and app-store providers for app distribution and, if enabled, in-app purchase processing. These providers process information on our behalf or under their own privacy notices, depending on the service.
We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce our terms, protect the rights, safety, or security of Vuvie or others, investigate fraud or abuse, or complete a business transaction such as a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets.
Vuvie's server-side rewarded-ad verification uses an opaque ad-flow and session reference. It is not intended to include your Vuvie account ID or Vuvie device ID in that custom-data field.
4. Analytics, Advertising, and Your Choices
Vuvie runs its own product analytics to understand feature use and product performance, using Cloudflare infrastructure to store and process that data, and uses Sentry to diagnose crashes, errors, and performance issues. We configure these services to support Vuvie's operations; the information sent may include device identifiers, app and device context, and app activity or diagnostic events. Vuvie also uses its own service data to measure use and improve recommendations.
Vuvie includes a Do Not Sell or Share setting. When enabled, the app stops sending product-analytics events, and Vuvie requests non-personalized ads in the rewarded-ad flow. This setting does not disable information needed to operate, secure, or support the service, and it does not replace choices that a third party presents under its own notice or consent flow.
On iOS, you can choose whether to permit app tracking through the system App Tracking Transparency prompt. You can change that decision in iOS Settings. You can also manage personalized recommendations, notifications, and applicable permissions in Vuvie or your device settings.
5. Retention and Account Deletion
We retain information for the period reasonably necessary to provide Vuvie, maintain financial and entitlement records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, protect against fraud and abuse, and meet legal obligations. Pseudonymous app-store purchase lineage may be retained after account deletion so a valid purchase can be restored without retaining the deleted account. We may likewise retain a pseudonymous record that a device has already claimed a one-time reward, so that per-device reward limits and abuse restrictions remain enforceable after an app is reinstalled or an account is deleted; that record is not linked to your identity or used to rebuild a deleted account. The appropriate period varies by the information and purpose. We may delete, aggregate, or de-identify information when it is no longer needed, subject to applicable requirements and operational records that must be retained.
You can request deletion from Profile → Settings → Delete Account when signed in. That flow removes or anonymizes your Vuvie account and associated service data, including linked device-level data and private support data where applicable. Deleting a Vuvie account does not cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription or erase the store’s transaction record; manage cancellation through the applicable store's subscription settings. Access remains restorable through that store, and retained purchase linkage is pseudonymous unless you later choose to link it to another Vuvie account.
6. Security
We use measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No service can guarantee complete security, so please keep your device and account credentials secure and keep the app updated.
7. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; or to opt out of certain advertising-related processing. You can use the privacy controls in Vuvie, use the account-deletion flow described above, or contact us at support@vuvie.io to make a request. We may need to verify a request before responding. We will not discriminate against you for exercising rights available under applicable law.
8. Children
Vuvie is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum age required in the country where the service is offered. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Vuvie, contact us so we can review the request.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as Vuvie or applicable requirements change. We will post the updated version and revise the Last Updated date. If a change is material, we may provide additional notice where appropriate.
